
The Nhulunbuy Corporation will be operating on reduced staffing and functionality during the Christmas and New Years period. This will affect operations between noon on December the 24th 2025 and 9AM on January 5th 2026. Please note the following in relation to departmental closures, opening hours and contact details for any emergencies or enquiries:
Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office:
Closed: 12PM 24/12/25 to 9AM 05/01/26
The following services based in the NC Head Office will not be operating, with exceptions made only for emergencies:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Building Compliance
- Facility and Equipment Hire
- Reception
- Tourism (including the Visitor Information Centre)
The following services based in the NC Head Office will be operating with reduced capability or on an On-Call basis:
- Animal Management - please call Tristan on 0419 838 064.
- Community Development - please email Jason on cd_tourism@ncl.net.au.
- Finance
Infrastructure department:
The Infrastructure department will continue to operate throughout the closure period, albeit with a skeleton crew. The NC Depot on Arnhem Road will be closed on weekends (as usual) and Public Holidays. Please report any emergency infrastructure matters by calling the On-Call number of 0407 972 550. Although Snap Send Solve will be monitored, it is strongly recommended that any matters, particularly emergency matters, are reported via phone ASAP.
Gove Airport:
The Aviation Services department will continue to operate as usual, with the exception of public holidays. During normal opening hours, our staff can be reached by calling 08 8987 1370. For after-hours matters or emergencies, please call immediately on 0428 962 606. Although Snap Send Solve will be monitored, it is strongly recommended that any matters, particularly emergency matters, are reported via phone ASAP.
