Nominations close at 12:00 noon on Friday, 20 November 2026.
No nominations will be accepted after this date and time.
Candidate Eligibility
To nominate for election to the Nhulunbuy Town Board, candidates must:
Be enrolled to vote in the Nhulunbuy Electorate
Be a resident of Nhulunbuy
Not be employed by the Nhulunbuy Corporation
Not be disqualified from being a member of the Nhulunbuy Town Board under Sections 30 or 40 of the Associations Act
How to Nominate as a candidate for the upcoming Election
NOTICE is hereby given that an election is planned to be held on Friday 4 December 2026 to elect two representatives to the Nhulunbuy Town Board for a 4 year term and one representative for 16 month term.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the Returning Officer, Desiree Rodgers at the Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office by 12 noon on:
Friday 20th November 2026. No nominations will be accepted after this date and time.
To be eligible for nomination, the candidate must:
- be an enrolled on the electoral role for Nhulunbuy
- not be employed by the Nhulunbuy Corporation, and
- not be disqualified from being a member of the Nhulunbuy Town Board under section 30 or 40 of the Associations Act.
- Be a resident of Nhulunbuy.
