Please be advised that on Sunday, 5 November, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, a planned power outage will affect the Gove Peninsula – including Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala and Gunyangara communities.

This critical work will address a section of the electrical network that requires immediate maintenance, aiming to reduce unplanned power outages within the community. For the team to complete these works safely, the power must be disconnected for 9 hours.

The Nhulunbuy Corporation have extended the Nhulunbuy Aquatic Centre hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm on the Sunday and will cover all entry costs for visitors.

The 2023 Territory Day event will see the return of Dr Elephant to Nhulunbuy, as well as DJ Charly T in a support act, and Hyper the Clown, back for her third year, as entertainment for the kids.

This will be the first outdoor market of 2023.

The last activity on the agenda for NT Youth Week in Nhulunbuy will be a Colour Fun Run, open to everyone, across all ages. Come to Hindle Oval 2 on Friday the 14th of April for some tunes, a free sausage sizzle and of course, a colour fun run. Make sure to wear some clothes you don't mind getting colourful!

Come to the Town Hall on Thursday 13th of April to have a stab at winning a Streetfighter Tournament on the largest screen in Nhulunbuy! The day will also feature a chance to play a PS4 on a 3 metre wide screen. Come between 10AM and 2PM for free entry and a free sausage sizzle. Please bear in mind that this event is open only to High School aged students.

For NT Youth Week, the Nhulunbuy Youth Council is proud to announce a collaboration with the Nhulunbuy Corporation! Come to the Nhulunbuy Aquatic Centre on Wednesday the 12th of April from 10AM to 2PM for free entry, free pizza and a go on the inflatables. All are welcome!

For Quarter 1 of 2023, the data dump will occur on the 31st of March. To ensure that your Taggle Water Meter is able to transmit data, please ensure that there is nothing obstructing it. This includes vehicles, rubbish, building materials and debris.

The February Community Markets will feature some of the diverse arts, crafts and foods available in the Gove Peninsula.

The Australia Day Awards will recognise those in Nhulunbuy and East Arnhem Land who have gone above and beyond in their contributions towards the wider community.

The Citizenship Ceremony will welcome 18 new Australian Citizens!

The Christmas Community Markets for 2022 will be last markets for 2022. They will feature a great array of food vendors, arts and crafts and a special visit from Santa, courtesy of the Nhulunbuy Fire Station.

The Arnhemland Historical Society is on the search for new members and volunteers and invites those interested to come out and see some of Gove's historical relics and artifacts.

The opening night of the exhibition includes a light supper. Please be advised that this is event is for those 14 years of age and older.
