The Wet Season brings the possibility of adverse weather. To ensure that waste and debris in your yard and property do not become deadly missiles during severe storms or a cyclone, the Nhulunbuy Corporation provides a collection of household waste ito all residential properties on the Nhulunbuy Town Lease.

Monday 24th of November to Friday 28th of November:
- 24th to 25th - All streets in Town South
- 26th - Wuyal Road area, including Wattle Close, Jasmine Close, Pera Circuit, Klyn Circuit, Lobelia Close, Leach Road and Bunggulwuy Close
- 27th to 28th - Dargaville Close (and all streets that come off Dargaville Close) and Chesterfield Circuit area (including Singing Rocks Roads, Thunderman Road and any avenues/closes coming off those roads)
Monday 1st of December to Friday 5th of December:
- 1st and 2nd - Matthew Flinders Way, Banyan Road, Garnet Close, Providence Circuit (including all streets within) and Pandora Circuit (including all streets within)
- 3rd to 5th: Whitewood Circuit and all streets within Whitewood Circuit, Beagle Circuit and all streets off Beagle Circuit, and Wolsey Circuit (including all streets in or off Wolsey Circuit)
The guidelines for collection are as follows:
- Up to 1 cubic metre of waste per property
- No air conditioners, car bodies, tyres, batteries or whitegoods. Batteries (including car, marine or solar) will not be included in this pick-up. Similarly, E-waste such as e-scooters or e-bikes won't be picked up, as they can contain batteries.
- No chemicals, waste oils or fluids.
- Waste for collection MUST be on the kerb prior to the dates of pick-up, as NCL staff will not be revisiting streets.
To assist with clean-up, the Nhulunbuy Corporation would also like to remind residents that free vouchers are available from our office on Westal Street to dispose of white goods, car tyres and large furniture items.
